What Does a Physical Therapist Do?
A Physical Therapist is a highly-educated health professional who helps patients recover after accidents and surgeries, relearn different movements, and reduce their pain.Physical Therapists work in hospitals,private practices,outpatient clinics,home health agencies,schools,sports and fitness facilities,and nursing homes. To be a Physical Therapist you have to have your bachelor's degree in the field of health,complete a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree,and meet your State’s licensing requirements.

The median pay for a Physical Therapist is $85,000. The pay for Physical Therapists vary based on position, years of experience, degree of education, geographic location, and practice setting. Physical Therapists usually work in private offices, clinics, hospitals or nursing homes, with home health Therapists earning the most. Most Physical Therapists are scheduled to work during normal business hours, but it is possible to be scheduled on evening or weekend shifts, depending on the environment.
