Issue of Declared Capacity (DC), and Actual Generation (AG) by Generating Stations
Hon’ble Commission has issued Interim order dated 19/ directing : SRLDC to conduct an enquiry to verify the details of declared capacity (DC), actual generation (AG) in respect of the generating stations belonging to NTPC and NLC, during the period to and submit a report to the Commission latest by

Declaration of Higher DC
Enhancement in the DC in case of Ramagundam STPS is there in the range of 30 – 60 MW with details as follows. MONTH AVERAGE NORMATIVE DC ( IN MW) AVERAGE ACTUAL DC ( IN MW) AVERAGE ADDITIONAL MAX. ADDITIONAL EXTRA AVAILABLE ENERGY TO CONSTITUENTS Dec-04 6 30 4.163 Jan-05 43 76 31.689 Feb-05 51 34.001 Mar-05 61 45.591 Apr-05 32 56 22.873 May-05 42 31.287 Jun-05 36 25.918 Subsequent to the persuasion by SRLDC similar trend is being followed by Talcher STPS and enhancement of DC in case of Talcher STPS is in the range of MW. Enhancing the availability at the pit head generating stations is a step in the direction of achieving maximum economy and efficiency.

Details of Actual Generation (AG) and Declared Capacity (DC )
The day-wise details of the AG and DC by the NTPC and NLC stations during the relevant period of 56 days ( i.e. from to ) . Whether there was willful under-declaration by the Generating Stations
Clause 2 of Regulations 24 on Terms and Conditions of Tariff 2004 wherein it is stated that for higher generation beyond prescribed limits the RLDCs shall investigate so as to ascertain that there is no ‘gaming’. Clause 29(1) of the Electricity Act which assigns to RLDCs the responsibility of achieving overall economy and efficiency in the region.

Ways and Means to tap extra generation
The Hon’ble Commission during hearing on on the above issue had intended that it is desirable that such extra generation must be tapped and any commercial issues/implications related to this can be brought to the notice of commission.
