2 OPNFV End User Advisory Group
OPNFV Vision a de facto standard, carrier-grade, integrated, open source NFV reference platform Mission The End User Advisory Group (EUAG) provides a discussion forum for end users to share perspectives on OPNFV progress and priorities to assist and support NFV communities in its objectives by providing technical and strategic guidance based on challenges of running a real-world network NFV Communities include the upstream communities e.g. OpenStack, OpenDaylight, etc. Members The End User Advisory Group is made up of influential key technologists at institutions that operate production networks Including telecom cable and enterprise network operators 10/10/2016

3 Organizations supporting EUAG Members
Company AT&T Cox SK Telecom Bell Canada Deutsche Telecom Sprint British Telecom Fidelity STC (advisor) CableLabs KDDI Corp. Telecom Italia China Mobile Liberty Global Telia China Unicom Orange Telefonica Vodafone As of 9/26/2016. *Listed in alphabetical order, additional users welcome

4 OPNFV Usage and Priorities
Clarify how the OPNFV platform might be used by different participants by creating a set of epic user stories around usage of the platform of the form "As a <role>, I use the OPNFV platform to <achieve objective> so that <success criteria is achieved>.” e.g. As a VNF Provider, I use the OPNFV platform to  validate interoperability with multiple orchestration scenarios so that  ingestion and administration problems in my customer's operational deployments are minimized. As an Ethernet Service User, I  use an operating OPNFV Platform to instantiate an E-Line service instance between defined endpoints so that an E-line Service is available for use. As a NS Provider, I use the OPNFV Reference Platform in my lab  to overcome interoperability issues faced during onboarding (e.g. vendor A vEPC onboarding with vendor B VIM) so that the interoperability issues could be identified and resolved prior to production deployment. 10/10/2016

5 Pain Points Discussion:
Identify pain points with various components/aspects of NFV/SDN platforms Coalesce project initiatives and resolution strategies Guidance on the prioritization, sequencing, and precise use stories and scenario(s) of user pain points A number of Pain Points Identified Still going through clarification, classification and prioritization of many Pain Points The first pain point for the group to clarify and detail is VNF Onboarding Active discussion on EUAG Wiki here: Additional pain points under discussion and prioritization Likely something in the area of network service instantiation/deployment 10/10/2016
