9 and all that is within me,
Psalm 103 1Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name!

10 It means to speak well of His greatness and goodness — and really mean it from the depths of your soul.

11 What David is doing in the first
and last verses of this psalm, when he says, “Bless the Lord, O my soul,” is saying that authentic speaking about God’s goodness and greatness must come from the soul. Unknown

12 Psalm 103 20 Bless the Lord, you His angels, Who excel in strength, who do His word, Heeding the voice of His word.

13 [Obey the Lord, O my soul!]
21 Bless the Lord, all you His hosts, You ministers of His, who do His pleasure. 22 Bless the Lord, all His works, In all places of His dominion. Bless the Lord, O my soul! [Obey the Lord, O my soul!]

14 When we recite this Psalm,
WE ARE NOT blessing GOD. When we recite this Psalm, we are expressing how blessed our Lord is – “Blessed are YOU, LORD our God!”

16 What it means to “bless” the LORD
Look at two examples Job

17

18 3 Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job,
that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?

19 to destroy him without cause.”
And still he holds fast to his integrity, although you incited Me against him, to destroy him without cause.” 6 And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, he is in your hand, but spare his life.”

20 So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.

21

22 15 …the Sabeans raided…the servants… I alone have escaped to tell you
16 …“The fire of God fell from heaven and burned up the sheep and the servants…I alone have escaped to tell you!”

23 17 …another also came and said, “The Chaldeans…took the camels…away… and killed the servants… and I alone have escaped to tell you!” 18 … another also came and said, “Your sons and daughters…are dead; and I alone have escaped to tell you!”

24 9 Then his wife said to him,
“Do you still hold fast to your integrity? Curse God and die!”

25 shall we not accept adversity?”
10 But he said to her, “You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?” In all this Job did not sin with his lips.

26 13 “Hold your peace with me,
and let me speak, Then let come on me what may! 14 Why do I take my flesh in my teeth, And put my life in my hands?

27 15 Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him.

28

29 20 Then Job arose, tore his robe, and shaved his head; and he fell
to the ground and worshiped. 21And he said:

30 “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, And naked shall I return there.
The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; Blessed be the name of the Lord.” 22 In all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong.

32 King Nebuchadnezzar's Dream

33

34

35 16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego answered and said to the king,
“O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter.

36 17 If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us
from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king.

37 nor will we worship the gold image
18 But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.”

38

39

40 They answered and said to the king,
24 Then King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished; and he rose in haste and spoke, saying to his counselors, “Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire?” They answered and said to the king, “True, O king.”

41 25 “Look!” he answered, “I see four men loose,
walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”

42

43 on whose bodies the fire had no power;
27 And the satraps, administrators, governors, and the king’s counselors gathered together, and they saw these men on whose bodies the fire had no power;

44 the hair of their head was not singed
nor were their garments affected, and the smell of fire was not on them.

46 What Next? Romans 12 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.

47 2And do not be conformed to this world, by the renewing of your mind,
What Next? 2And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

48 What Next? 18But we all, with unveiled face, beholding
2 Corinthians 3 18But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

49

50 Hebrews 6 18 …it is impossible for God to lie…we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.

51 19 This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast,
and which enters the Presence behind the veil, 20 where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever…

52 In Times Like These

53 In times like these you need a Savior, In times like these you need an anchor;  Be very sure, be very sure, Your anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock!

54 This Rock is Jesus, Yes He's the One, This Rock is Jesus, the only One; Be very sure, be very sure, Your anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock!

55 In times like these you need the Bible, In times like these, O be not idle;  Be very sure, be very sure, Your anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock!

56 This Rock is Jesus, Yes He's the One, This Rock is Jesus, the only One; Be very sure, be very sure, Your anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock!

57 In times like these I have a Savior, In times like these I have an anchor; I'm very sure, I'm very sure My anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock!

58 This Rock is Jesus, Yes He's the One, This Rock is Jesus, the only One; I’m very sure, so very sure, My anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock!

59

60 Revelation 7 11 All the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying:

61 Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God
