Is healing supposed to be normative in proclaiming the gospel?
It was normative for the Apostles. Some Christians were given such gifts (Act 5,1Cor12)
Biblical records of, and instruction regarding, healings sharply decline after AD60.
On the other hand, Biblical concern for teaching and preaching the Word became a foremost concern.(2Tim4)
The 'modern' focus on healings and the miraculous is new compared to church history
