One of these men was Philip Philip was one of the 7 men who served the
Book of Acts Records the names of some great men who served the Lord in the early Church. One of these men was Philip Philip was one of the 7 men who served the Jerusalem church. Led many to the Lord in Samaria Taught and baptized the eunuch of Ethiopia

He preached ‘the things concerning the Kingdom of God”. Acts 8:12
We are especially interested in something Philip did in Samaria. He preached ‘the things concerning the Kingdom of God”. Acts 8:12

Acts 8:12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women

Early Preachers did exactly that!
They preached the things concerning the Kingdom of Heaven (the church)

It is said of Paul Acts 28:17 And it came to pass, that after three days Paul called the chief of the Jews together: and when they were come together, he said unto them, Men and brethren, though I have committed nothing against the people, or customs of our fathers, yet was I delivered prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans.

Acts 28:23 And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening.

Acts 28:30 And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him, 31 Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.

Preaching is so important:
2 Cor 4:5 We preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus The Lord. Gal.6:14 2 Tim.4:2-4 I Cor. 1:18

What are the things that we preach as we preach the Kingdom of Heaven?

God’s Kingdom Has A King
1. In order for a kingdom to exist, there Must be a King. 2. A king must possess power and authority. Matt.28:18-20 3. A king must reveal his law to his subjects 4. A king receives honor and respect from his subjects.

In God’s Kingdom: Jesus is King
I Tim. 6:15 Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; He Has all authority. God gave it to him. Matt. 28:18-20 He alone is the head of the church. Eph. 1:22-23 Col. 1:18

In God’s Kingdom, Jesus has citizens!
Christians are citizens. 1. Eph. 2:19 Christians are ‘fellowcitizens with the saints and of the household of God.” 2. Col.1:13 The citizens of the kingdom of God, are those Who have been delivered ‘from the power of darkness” and translated into the kingdom of God. 3. Jesus explains how we enter God’s kingdom. John 3:3-5 4. The citizens of God’s kingdom are subject to the king. Col. 3:17

In God’s Kingdom, He has His Law!
In order for a kingdom to exist, it must have A law or system of laws. (cf. Gal. 6:2) 1. Heb. 9:15 Jesus is King. Jesus is the mediator Of the new testament. 2. Heb. 8:6 Jesus ‘s the mediator of a better covenant, Which was established upon better promises. 3. All citizens of the King have a responsibility Concerning the law of Christ. Col. 3:16a

His Law tells us about the church. That’s why Philip preached it!
1. There is one and only one. Eph.4:4-6. 2. Each local congregation is to have its own elders. Acts 20:28-30 3. God has told us who these men are to be. I Tim.3:1-7 And Titius 1 give us the qualifications. Every one of the Qualifications must be met to please God.

Those who comply with God’s law
Responsibility to comply with it…To do it. Heb. 5:8,9 Those who comply with the Lord’s law receive Special blessings.

( 1 )James 1:25 25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. What James? This man shall be blessed.

(2).John 8:31-32 31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

(3) John 14:21-23 21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. 22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? 23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
