3 More Mythology In Greek Mythology, Sagittarius is also known as Centaur Chiron. Greeks believe that he was not only brave and adventureous, but wise as well. He was a great friend of Hercules, the hero. Sometimes, he was even a representation of the god Zeus. Sometimes it is said that he was connected with Tyche and Norse God Thor. Yet, in other stories he is connected with Pan, the goat-god, and Eupheme, a nymph and mother of the Muses.
