3. Dian Fossey was born January 16, 1932 and died in December of 1985.

Dian graduated from San Jose state college in 1954 with a degree in occupational therapy; she then worked at a children’s hospital in Kentucky for several years

4. While in Africa she observed the mountain Gorillas in the wild and visited anthropologist Louis Leakey.
Dian received a Ph.D. in zoology from the Cambridge University in 1974.
Dian was found murdered in her mountain camp in December of 1985.
