The main colour on the contents page is white and black which relates with the theme of the magazine.  The content is divided into four different categories which is fashion, health and beauty and features

House Style The ‘House style’ for the magazine has the same structure throughout the newspaper, the layout design for the magazine is model on top with the labels bags and clothing and designer label at the bottom structure. The colours of the main colour of the magazine is Pink, white and black this is because these colours are in trend with fashion for this months magazine. The font the Vogue has used are bold and modern. The language of the magazine is formal as this appeals to the audience that are serious about fashion as this is a big magazine following with big brands inside them. The main focus throughout the magazine is on the model at the front of the magazine called Kate Moss, the main story for instance is about what she bought and what she is wearing. The fonts the magazine have used is a feminine style of font as the magazine is targeted towards women also the a model who is a women is there and she’s showing her feminine side. The font style they have used is called Palace Script MT

The style of the font is called Palace Script MT.
Natalie Portman is the face which will get more sales to occur as she is a famous celebrity actress. The colours are bright colours and more towards the feminine side which shows it’s for women's. The dress is pink and has flowers which shows she’s a girl. The font size for ‘Miss Dior’ is 30cm. This stands out as its visible to see and it’ll grab our attention We could see here the font is a fancy feminine style which will only aim towards women. The style of the font is called Palace Script MT. This shows that it is a fancy font which shows it’s a luxury fragrance and posh. They show the bottle which they want everyone to see as the one Natalie Portman is holding isn’t visible therefore, it’ll produce more sales as people will know what it looks like

Front Cover/Page In this ‘Front Cover/Page’ the features we see which stands out and catches our attention are: Masthead/Title – the title is a well known title which we know is a fashion lifestyle magazine. Also, it stands out as it covers the top of the magazine and is in front of the model that is featuring for the magazine. The Masthead font is also unique as they have never changed their font and kept it that kind of style which shows that that’s their kind of style. Vogue means the prevailing fashion or style at a particular time. Cover Lines – there are 5 Cover lines that we could see in the magazine. These cover lines grabs our attention e.g. ‘Who’s That Girl’. This makes us want to read the magazine as they grab our attention into know more information as these are what want us to read the magazine. They lure us inside as they have lines like ‘Real style’ ‘Who’s that girl?’ this makes us want to see what’s inside. Main Cover Line – the main cover line from the Vogue magazine is so they could read easily as this what many readers are engaged to therefore the text needs to be short and snappy so the pass byers will purchase the magazine. As fashion byers will buy this magazine as it say ‘Sensational Summer’ which means it’s for summer and they would want to know what fashion they should copy or admire. Main Image – the main image takes over the whole magazine as it’s a picture of a famous model called Kate Moss which we could see is posing and is wearing a summer theme clothes which relates to the magazine issue as it says ‘Sensational Summer’ below her. The reason why they show Kate Moss as she is known one of the best models and has been picked to be in front cover. Her pose looks interesting as we could see the summer clothes she is wearing. Also she is looking directly towards us which shows she’s trying to lure us. Price/Date – top left we could see the month and the price. The purpose of having the month date is so the buyers will know what magazine issue this is and how recent it is. The price is for the customers to know how much the magazine is as they wouldn’t need to look for the price as its there. We could also see that’s it white which stands out as in that position the background is dark which allows the customer to know how much it is We also see the name of the model in the front cover. This is for her to get recognition from a big fashion magazine

Article/Feature In this section i will be analysing ‘Nigella Uncovered’ which is based on Nigella interview. This page is placed after the advert about a designer brand called Mulberry and before the other brand called Monsoori section in the Vogue magazine. The purpose of this is clever as placing the interview of her in the middle. This is because they know that the people will be flipping the pages to see the sections they want to see. Therefore, placing the Nigella interview' in the middle will get attraction as they'll get the readers to look for he page where they will be attracted to the other brands and it’ll interest them. I believe this is a regular feature as every day they have a page on different interviews with other celebrities about beauty. The name Nigella Uncovered suggests secrets for the beauty she uses and wants to give something for everyone to read.

In the article i noticed that the design for ‘Nigella Uncovered' is very structured and it looks really formal as there is a title of the font and then there’s. This is because it is presented in a clear bold appearance. For the 'text’ they show that this is really important and want you to discover the beauty she wants to give out. This is because we can see from looking/reading the article that they have a lot to say about what’s going on in the text. However, this will attract the audiences as they want the true secret. Looking at the magazine it makes us think this is a newspaper as if we look at it properly it has the same features e.g. text. As there is a lot of text and is similar with the amount of a newspaper would use.

The title called Nigella Uncovered' is placed at the top of the page
The title called Nigella Uncovered' is placed at the top of the page. The colour they have used is a black on white background which is clear to see and draws in the reader’s attention. The language the article they have used is formal as we can see reading it has a modern text where it’s nothing special and it’s laid out nicely into three parts where we can read it. There are no adverts placed on this page as this is because it’s an interview which they want you to focus on.

The layout to the whole page is very different from the rest of the magazines as this page excites readers. The pages proves my point as this section says the secret for her barefaced beauty. The article is aimed towards both genders which are males and females from the ages The article Nigella Uncovered is clearly targeted at people who have an interest in celebrities cooking as she is big in the cooking industry. This type of feature is made for the Vogue readers because they are interested in beauty and fashion. I believe this will attract them as the page about Nigella Uncovered attracts a wide range of audience in the latest celebrity interview, this will attract Vogue readers as this page is the most popular page in the newspaper.

Also, this will attract the wide range of audience as they don't know what’s going to be in the page as it's a surprise, as if they have a big celebrity name like Kendall Jenner they will get a lot of sales as they want to know what they wrote about him or what’s going in his daily life. Another example would be if they talk about another celebrity from a movie e.g. Angelina Jolie the audience that loves him and want to know what they wrote about him or what’s going on will attract them which they will pick up the paper. This is how they will attract a wide range of audience as it could be any big celebrity from any genres.

Lastly, they will attract a lot of viewers as something serious could happen to the celebrities which they want the viewers to see. Thus they can lure them by placing a picture of the celebrity at the front of the magazine but it’s not only quarter but it’s the whole page to herself and no other pictures. This is a bait to get more sales to occur.

Advertisement Roughly around 40% is advertisement’s in the magazine. This is because they get paid by the other companies which they will pay Vogue as the other brand will get recognition and get more sales. If there was a brand that is selling a perfume the next page will be another fragrance which they will call up fragrance stores if they want to be advertised and to be featured into the magazine. At the bottom of the advert we are given the name of the brand where we can identify where the product is from.

They relate to the target audience as there audience is towards women, thus make up and beauty treatments women like them and they wear it, summer clothes may look nice and they may want to buy them. The brands relates to the audience because the audience are interested in the beauty products and treatments and they can find it in the magazine, where to get nice foods at restaurants at the best price; also they would be interested in summer clothes that are not only stylish but good for value, though, there magazine is related on big brands but they want to target all kinds of audiences that cant afford those big brands labels.

An advert I will be analysing is Miss Dior it is a double page where the model takes up the whole two pages. It is placed toward the beginning of magazine and the brands name is positioned on the middle of the right page. The main focus of the Miss Dior advert is the model holding the perfume. The model that is presenting the perfume is called Natalie Portman which she is the ambassador of the brand. She is also wearing a blossom dress which is pink and matches with the perfume colour as the bottle is also pink. Further analysis the cover line says ‘Blooming Bouquet’. Linking it with the model she is wearing a blossom dress which links with the cover line that they’re selling the perfume. As it is a Bouquet bottle it shows it relates with the theme of the month as they’re selling as it’s April where it’s spring which relates with roses and flowers.
