3 Top Takeaways Fall enrollment has stabilized after declines in each of the past four years. The number of Underrepresented Minority (URM) students increased and the KCTCS student body continues to represent the diversity of the state’s population. Nearly 100 URM student increase (0.8%) between Fall 2015 and Fall 2016. URM students represented 14.8% of the KCTCS student body in Fall compared to 13.0% of the Kentucky population aged

4 Top Takeaways The dual credit scholarships had a big impact on high school enrollment in their first semester of implementation. The number of high school students attending KCTCS increased by nearly 1,300 students (11.5%). KCTCS continues to respond to immediate workforce needs. Non-degree seeking students increased by nearly 800 (8.2%). KCTCS provides multiple venues of access through online delivery. The number of credit hours delivered online increased by nearly 6,000 (2.6%). The KCTCS student body is growing younger. Driven by the increase in the number of high school students, KCTCS’ growth has been in the population under the age of 18 as well as the population aged

5 Comparisons Preliminary Fall 2016 numbers are beginning to be released. Western Kentucky University enrollment is up slightly at 1%. Including a 6.6% increase in transfer students from KCTCS. Murray State University enrollment declined by 5%. Kentucky State University enrollment increased by 7%. Alabama’s public two-year institutions declined by 2%.
