2. Geography
Tonga is situated in the South Pacific, northeast of New Zealand, southeast of Fiji , south of Samoa and west of Niue. It is made up of over 170 islands. Only Forty-three of these islands are inhabited, while the others are temporarily used for farming, fishing and other occasions.
