A major change in the way the goods were produced. production went from the slow, costly methods of making goods by hand in the home to…fast, cheaper methods of making goods by machines in a factory.

4 Industrial Revolution Vocabulary
Revolution* – a major change in a society, usually an improvement Agricultural Revolution – a major change in the way people farmed in the early 1700’s Enclosure – small strips of land were made into larger fields, making farming more efficient. Tenant Farmers – poor people who rented farmland from the owners of the enclosures Crop rotation – the practice of planting a different crop in a different field each year
