Telling the time We can also use a.m. with the hours before twelve o’clock noon and p.m. for the other hours in the afternoon / in the evening / at night before twelve o’clock midnight. in the morning in the afternoon in the evening at night 12:00 6:00 10:00 a.m. p.m. e.g. 10 a.m. (= ten o’clock in the morning)
