Keeping it Local We collect 2000 litres a week from 160 local restaurants, businesses, schools and colleges We supply GM free rapeseed oil to those who need it (sourced in UK & the Netherlands) We promote our partners as widely as possible: on the buses, online and in our newsletters

How is Biodiesel Produced?
Waste oil is cleaned and impurities removed Oil is heated and a chemical process initiated with methanol and a catalyst, sodium hydroxide Trans-esterification occurs producing biodiesel and a by-product, glycerine, which is sold.

Minimising the Impact of Production
Waste oil collection van runs on biodiesel Biodiesel plant is powered by a generator which also runs on biodiesel No mains electricity or gas used No water except in the tea the workers drink
