1. Femoral anteversion and retroversion of the femur may impact the position of the foot in weight-bearing. A. With a normal degree of anteversion, the foot is aligned with the leg. B. Excessive anteversion leads to misalignment between the acetabulum (red dot) and the femur (black dot), which may produce in-toeing. C. Retroversion leads to misalignment between the acetabulum (red dot) and the femur (black dot), which may produce out-toeing.
