Continuum of engagement for CAAs
Community Partner – attend meetings & assist in planning no financial relationship Subcontract with licensed behavioral health or medical provider to provide Medicaid Waiver Initiative 3 services Become licensed provider with DSHS - contract with MCO or BHO for Medicaid Waiver Initiative 3 services Or Partner with another CAA to provide Medicaid Waiver program. At least one CAA must be licensed with DSHS Contract with ALTSA No licensing required Become licensed behavioral health or medical provider –contract with MCO or BHO to provide treatment & Medicaid Waiver Initiative 3 services

Next Steps Strategies for engagement/preparation –regional & statewide: CAAs need to engage now with BHO & ACH serving your region. Interested CAAs participated in WLIHA webinars & training to better understand program requirements & infrastructure needs. WSCAP can help organize this training & post on website. Health Care work group met with all 5 MCOs November 14th and January 30th. Work shop providing more TA will happen at April 2017 WSCAP conference.

Statewide Work with a group of CAPs in a region Individual work with a CAP There are various ways CAPs and MCOs can partner including the following models: --Individual work with a CAP --Work with a number of CAPs with in a region VIA the Medicaid waiver expansion --Statewide keying off CAPs Community Needs Assessments highlighting what needs are needed in each geography.
