(In South Africa) A policy or system of segregation or discrimination on grounds of race.

 A South African anti- apartheid revolutionary, politician and philanthropist who served as President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999.

A politico-economic union of 28 member states that are located primarily in Europe.

(North American Free Trade Agreement) A regulation implemented January 1, 1994 in Mexico, Canada and the United States to eliminate most tariffs on trade between these nations.

The preeminent leader of Indian independence movement in British- ruled India.

The refusal to comply with certain laws or to pay taxes and fines, as a peaceful form of political protest.

(Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries) A group whose goal is to manage the supply of oil in an effort to set the price of oil on the world market.
