2. Summary
Winney decides to run away from home and wanders into the forest. While Winney was in the forest she spots a boy named Jesse Tuck drinking from a secret stream.
When Winney asks Jesse how old he is, he states that he is 109, but Winney does not believe him.
Winney begs Jesse to let her drink from the secret stream too, but he does not allow her.
Jesse does not know how to explain to Winney why she cannot drink from the stream, so he is relieved when he hears his mother, Mae Tuck, and his brother, Miles Tuck, coming towards them.

3. Summary
The Tucks decide to kidnap Winney, so they can bring her to their house to see Mae’s husband, Angus Tuck. They believed Angus could best explain to Winnie why she should not drink the water from the secret stream or tell anyone else about it.
On the way to the Tuck’s house, Jesse, Miles and Mae decide to tell Winney how they found the secret stream 87 years ago and how after they drank from it they never aged.
While Mae, Jesse and Miles tell Winney their story, they do not realize that the man in the yellow suit is hiding in the bushes and listening in on what they are saying.

4. Summary
When they arrive at the house, Angus Tuck is very excited to meet Winney. He wants Winney to understand that if she drank from the secret stream she would stay ten years old for the rest of her life and she would not be able to enjoy everything great that accompanies getting older.
At the Tuck’s, Winney is loved and cared for, but she still becomes homesick. Winnie even develops a crush on Jesse.
The man in the yellow suit finds Winney’s family and tell them that he knows where Winney is.
The man in the yellow suit brings a policeman with him to go find Winney.

5. Summary
When the man in the yellow suit arrives at the Tuck’s home he tells the family that he is going to tell everyone about the secret stream.
Mae becomes mad when the man in the yellow suit tells them his plans, so she hits him. Just as she does so, the constable enters the Tuck’s house. The constable sees what happen and arrests Mae for hurting the man in the yellow suit.
Jesse, Miles, Winney and Angus help Mae escape from jail. The Tuck family runs far away in hopes that the police and the man in the yellow suit will never find Mae.
Mae and her husband return many years later and find out that the forest and special stream have been destroyed.
