Personnel Magellan Telescope Operator
An external search for a new Magellan Telescope Operator to replace Gabriel Prieto (who was promoted to a programmer position) was quickly organized in March 2015 Angélica León was hired Angélica has a degree in chemical engineering, and previously worked as a telescope operator for two years at La Silla Magellan Instrumentation Scientist David Osip was offered and accepted the position of LCO Associate Director to begin on July 1, 2015 A search was undertaken to find a new Instrumentation Scientist Konstantina Boutsia was hired, and will move to Chile in May Konstantina was a commissioning astronomer and postdoc at the LBTO from

A search was carried out for an “Opto-Mechanical Engineer” and an unsuccessful offer was made in March 2015 A new search for a “Telescope Engineer” with opto-mechanical experience was carried out in late-2015 Charlotte Groothuis was hired, and will arrive in Chile in April Charlotte was an opto-mechanical engineer at ESO-Garching from , and at the GTC from
