WHS Boys: Undefeated in regular season! EPAC: Boys: CHAMPIONS! Girls: 2nd Place! Regionals: (out of 10 teams) Boys: 2nd Place! Girls: 4th Place! State Meet: Boys: 7th place. Girls: 22nd place.

Important Dates: First Practice: October 24 at WHS
Tryouts: October at SU Final Roster: October 27 Regional at Fairmont: February 4 State Meet at WVU: February 16-17

Practice Rules Bus to and from after school practices.
Everyone must ride both ways 14 Practice Rule (7 if in Fall Sport) Be On TIME! Excuses- must be turned in to coaches Academics come first Cell phones prohibited during practice Remove jewelry Be SAFE!

Meet Rules 4 Events per swimmer max.
Must notify one week prior to competition if you will not be there Cell phones prohibited during meets Be on TIME! Show good sportsmanship at all times! Remain in swim suit and on deck for the duration of the meet

Regionals Privilege to attend- based on performance, participation, and behavior Must attend high percentage of meets 3 or less unexcused absences Must qualify in the 500 Free 4 Swimmers per event 1 Relay per event

States Must qualify at Regional Meet Top 2 Relays qualify

Swimming for Other Teams
Consult with Coach Bauer Swimmer must meet 14 practice rule before missing high school practice Must attend practice the day before a meet “If a swimmer participates in a USA meet rather than a high school meet, the swimmer will become ineligible for high school participation.” (WVSSAC)

Athletic Eligibility Students must have a 2.0 GPA at end of First Semester (1st and 2nd Nine Weeks) Bring copy of report card to practice

Sportsmanship Member schools are required to conduct all relations with other schools in a spirit of good sportsmanship. The score of any athletic event is generally forgotten over time, but the actions of players, coaches and spectators are remembered.

Substance Abuse The use of tobacco, alcohol, and drugs by students is strictly prohibited. Any student in violation of policy will be suspended and may be removed from any activity by the coach, sponsor, teacher, or administration for the safety and well-being of all.

School Attendance Regular attendance to school is MANDATORY
Repeated tardy and attendance violations may result in suspension of participation. You can not attend practice on days you are not in school or do not meet these requirements: Must be in school by: 10:23am Can not leave before: 11:16am Must be present for 4 full periods
