Let us go into His tabernacle (7-9) A determination to serve God with purity. A resting place for His ark. Thought: True worship – John 4:24, 1 Peter 2:5, 9 – we are priests. I will set up your throne, the fruit of your body (11)
The LORD Answers (11-18) I will set up your throne, the fruit of your body (11) Physically fulfilled in Solomon But the promise goes deeper - Luke 1:32, Acts 2:30-31, Romans 1:3-4 – Jesus is seated on the throne of David!
14
The LORD Answers (11-18) IF your sons keep My covenant (12)
Conditional! (see 2 Chronicles 7:17-20) For generations, David’s “sons” sat on his throne, until their rebellion resulted in their removal! Our conditional blessing – 1 John 1:7, Hebrews 10:38, 2:1-3

The LORD has chosen Zion as His resting place (13-14)
The LORD Answers (11-18) The LORD has chosen Zion as His resting place (13-14) See 2 Chronicles 7:16, For now I have chosen and sanctified this house, that My name may be there forever; and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually. Will we respect God’s place and plans? Ephesians 3:10-11

The LORD Answers (11-18) I will abundantly bless her provision (15-16)
Blessings abundant - Ephesians 1:3 Provisions – cf. Matt. 5:6, John 6:35 Priests clothed with salvation – Titus 1:2, in hope of eternal life Saints rejoicing – Rom. 1:7, 1 Peter 2:9 – priest proclaiming His praises

The LORD Answers (11-18) There I will make the horn of David grow and prepare a lamp for My Anointed (17) Physically, the throne of David remained for centuries, until they ultimately rejected Him BUT, even then, ultimate fulfillment is in Christ as the Anointed – Luke 2:32, Jesus is “a light to bring salvation to the Gentiles, and the glory of Your people Israel.”
18
The LORD Answers (11-18) His enemies will be clothed with shame, but His crown will flourish upon Himself (18) Jesus defeated His enemies – cf. Philippians 2:10, Romans 14:11 – all will bow before Him Jesus has been exalted and rules, Acts 2:36, 1 Corinthians 15:25
