Q. What are my deployment options with SAP Business One?
SAP offers customers the following B1 deployment options: On-premise – traditional deployment model whereby the software is purchased on a perpetual basis and deployed on server hardware and network infrastructure situated on the customer’s premises. We can also assist you with financing your SAP Business One implementation, contact us for more information. Hosted – software is purchased on a perpetual basis and deployed in a data center service provider’s environment. This is an example of a form of cloud computing known as IaaS, Infrastructure-as-a-Service, whereby a combination of hardware, data center and network components are typically leased from, and/or associated services outsourced to the provider. Q. What are my deployment options with SAP Business One?
SAP offers customers the following B1 deployment options: Cloud – this is a form of cloud computing known as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and includes the SAP B1 license component along with hardware, data center and network services which are bundled together and charged as a predictable, monthly subscription fee per user per month. Irrespective of the chosen deployment model, productivity can be enhanced by the mobility application which allows your users secure access to your B1 system from anywhere, at any time and on just about any device. Q. Can SAP B1 customized to my specific needs and/or integrated with other systems?
The answer to both questions is yes. A few options exist for the customization and enhancement of B1 as well as the integration with other systems: B1 supports simple customization tasks such as adding new forms, fields and tables as well as the editing, i.e. hiding and renaming existing fields and tabs. No 3rd party software is required. A common way to enhance B1’s functionality is through the purchase of add-on software. This software generally developed by SAP partners and integrates seamlessly into the user interface B1. SoftCore Solutions

Q. Can SAP B1 customized to my specific needs and/or integrated with other systems?
Should no existing B1 add-on meet your functional and/or pricing requirements, a new add-on can be developed especially for you using the SAP B1 Software Development Kit (SDK) Another common customer requirement is integration between B1 and other legacy systems. Data can be easily imported to or exported from B1 using spreadsheets and the DTW (Data Transfer Workbench). Automatic or more complex integration requirements can be achieved using the DI (Development Interface)/API (Application Programming Interface) which uses industry standard integration protocols such as XML, SOAP.
