3. Start
This guide assumes you know how to view an electronic patient record (EPR) in TrakCare.
TrakCare training is available. Check the intranet for details.
The guide will show you how to add an anaesthetic alert e.g. airway management problems.
Adding an allergy is a similar process, but is not covered in this presentation.

4. Open the EPR for your patient
Allergies and Alerts are displayed here.
Click New in the Alerts section to add an anaesthetic alert or hazard.
This is the first screen you see when opening the EPR.
A new window opens up.

5. Open the EPR for your patient
Click on the magnifying glass to choose an Alert Category
Click on the magnifying glass to choose an Alert
Choose Clinical
Choose Anaesthetic Risk

6. Open the EPR for your patient
Enter the details of the risk here.
Enter your password and click Update.

7. Open the EPR for your patient
There is now also an alert icon in the patient banner.
The alert now shows up on this screen.
Click on this arrow to show the full message.

8. Open the EPR for your patient
Full message displayed.
