10 After the mission Thoughts to share

11 After the mission What God gave to us in our hand is not for ourselves but is another’s. God will provide which is my own when I am faithful in what is another’s. “And if you have not been faithful in that which is another's, who will give you that which is your own?” ‭‭Luke‬ ‭16:12‬ ‭ESV‬‬ When I desire to be His servant, I get to witness what the wonderful things God does for His people. Those who are treated by our medical team benefited from the treatment, but we saw what God did to bring all the good to His people. Praise the Lord! “When the master of the feast tasted the water now become wine, and did not know where it came from (though the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom” ‭‭John‬ ‭2:9‬ ‭ESV‬‬

12 After the mission When the team members shared their stories, I was amazed how one’s painful past heals another’s current pain. Also, through how God prepared my trip, it ensured me that God’s time is always on time. “For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.” ‭‭Habakkuk‬ ‭2:3‬ ‭ESV‬‬ The mission is not over. During the mission trip, we were trained to be alert at all times, be on time, be responsible for the team, and be aware of any possibilities of evil thoughts. After the last day of the scheduled mission trip, as I was taking shower, I realized why Gideon was ordered to remove people depending on how they drank water. Mission trip to Guatemala may have ended, but our mission, our spiritual war, is still present. “So he brought the people down to the water. And the Lord said to Gideon, "Every one who laps the water with his tongue, as a dog laps, you shall set by himself. Likewise, every one who kneels down to drink."” ‭‭Judges‬ ‭7:5‬ ‭ESV‬‬

13 After the mission Why do I live? I had this question for such a long time. To say “I live for God” meant very little to me and did not make much sense. Now it makes sense. I may loose this as the time goes by. The passion may fade out. However, I saw it, and I now have faith in it. “For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭14:8‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Today and on. Remembering what God gave me is another’s, I shall be faithful to it. “His master said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.'” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭25:21‬ ‭ESV‬‬ Also, to serve in a short-term mission trip is to meet His people, have an opportunity to remind them how much God love each one of them. During this trip, I was more of a receiver than a provider. I pray that God gives me with greater heart to be His disciple day by day.
