International Credit Mobility
Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility International Cooperation Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport & Culture European Commission The International Credit Mobility (ICM) action extends the well-known Erasmus programme to Partner Countries around the world, funding short-term mobility of students and staff to and from Europe. Students come to the host institution for 3-12 months, obtaining 'credits' which are then recognised at the sending institution as part of their degree. ICM also funds staff mobility for 5-60 days. Show of hands EM Action 2 To some extent, it could be considered an extension of the Erasmus programme to the world. However, as opposed to intra-European Erasmus, the financial resources are limited and there is a competitive selection process, the funding reflects the EU's external policy priorities, and the European university manages both incoming and outgoing mobility. Although it is similar to Erasmus Mundus Action 2, there are some key differences. With ICM, we've moved from international consortia to bilateral agreements, and from centralised to decentralised management by the National Agencies.
