This course is designed to introduce you to the Spanish language and Hispanic cultures, and to develop all your language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing (syllabus page #5).
The instructor will speak Spanish the majority of the time. You may use English only when absolutely necessary (syllabus page #6).

4. In this course: one day = 2 absences! Be carefull!

Attendance
Five allowed 50 minutes absences (any reason). Missing 1 day of classes equals two absences. Use them wisely!
Each absence = 0 in the Oral Proficiency Card
Sixth absence and every subsequent absence = -2% from the Final Overall Course Grade.
Late arrivals are not allowed. Two late arrivals = 1 absence.
Electronic devices are not allowed during the class.
Deadlines are strictly important. No late assignments will be accepted.
