Abraham’s father was an idol salesman, with a shop full of stone statues of various gods.

When his father returned, Abraham blamed the idol with the rod in its hand.
His father said that was not possible as idols cannot do anything; so the family stopped their idol worship.

"The Hope of Israel".
That phrase employed by the Apostle Paul was used to sum up the whole substance and issues of his life-ministry
“For this cause therefore have I called for you, to see you, and to speak with you: because that for the hope of Israel I am bound with this chain.” (Acts 28:20).
