Major challenges
The selection of the topic is restricted by the material and the technical basis
We can’t fully ensure the PhD Students’ mobility
Because of the 3 years limitation and the military service, the PhD student can’t publish superior results in international journals
Opportunities and strengths
Developed infrastructure
Enough specialists to organize substantive discussions
YSU Student Scientific Council organizes seminar courses for the PhD students on various topics: how to plan scientific work, how to write a scientific article, how to present the work, etc.
PhD students participate in seminars and international conferences organized by YSU.
YSU mostly meets the needs of PhD students concerning the publications (YSU has 11 series of scientific journals)
YSU has a decent library and can provide some charged articles for free.
YSU has over 200 cooperation agreements between various scientific-educational organizations of the world, which also serve for the PhD students.
YSU, within its capabilities, supports internal and external mobility of the PhD students.
