A new approach which recognizes that effective poverty analysis and monitoring needs to be anchored in local institutional arrangements.
Distinguishing elements are:
Tailoring the poverty work to country-specific needs
Developing a medium-term (3-year) poverty work program
Including capacity building as an integral part of poverty work
Providing a series of timely outputs to inform the country’s budget/policy needs and the Bank’s business needs
Continuous dissemination process
