AMAF Attestation Attestation is the act of making a declaration that something exists or showing or providing evidence sufficient to show that something is true Demonstrates organisational engagement & oversight for asset management strategies, processes and outcomes AMAF attestation is to increase transparency and confidence that government requirements are being met Attestation will be dynamic over time as asset management is not static and needs to continuously improve

AMAF Attestation – possible compliance outcomes
AMAF compliance assessment may confirm: all mandatory requirements met & supporting evidence is available most mandatory requirements met with evidence available; material non-compliances exist (and quantified); planned actions & timing to fully comply require to be identified, documented and resourced some mandatory requirements met and some evidence exists; non- compliances exist (and are identified); intended actions & timing to comply to be identified & documented in a formal compliance plan none or few mandatory requirements met; a comprehensive compliance plan needs to be developed, documented, resourced as a key and priority component of AMAF implementation

The Department of Health and Human Services portfolio comprises over 100 reporting entities; represents over 40 per cent of public sector organisations to attest to AMAF compliance All health services are required to attest to their AMAF compliance An AMAF compliance assessment tool is under development to assist DHHS portfolio agencies

The tool is designed to assist portfolio agencies to: routinely and consistently assess AMAF implementation status objectively identify level of compliance against each mandatory requirement to periodically assess compliance by requirement, area and overall The tool is automated to: recognise your organisation’s level of complexity calculate levels of compliance from questionnaire responses identify & list evidence required based on questionnaire responses generates an AMAF compliance assessment summary offer an auditable assessment compliance snapshot process
