4. London is situated on the river Thames.

5. There are many places to visit in London.

6. The most famous of them is Big Ben.

Tourist in London always visit Big Ben. Big Ben is really a bell. The bell is over two metres tall and chimes (звонит) every quarter of an hour. The tower of Big Ben is a symbol of London and of Britain.

8. Other interesting place to visit is Westminster Abbey.

Westminster Abbey is a symbol of England. The legend says that St Peter founded it. We know that Westminster Abbey was built by King Edward in Some famous English people are boried here (некоторые знаменитые англичане похоронены здесь). Today Westminster Abbey is a working church and a great monument to the history of England.
