Teaching Models Co-Teaching Supportive Teaching

Assessment Procedures (Modify Tests)
Enlarge test (less number of items per page) Reduce number of answer choices Simplify directions “Break down” complex essay questions into parts Reduce number of choices in matching task Revise questions that ask students to choose which choice doesn’t belong Encourage students to read test aloud to aid comprehension Reduce number of items

Suggested Interventions
Allow extended wait time Provide frequent reinforcement Allow legitimate movement/breaks Provide non-verbal cues to stay on task Use of timer for certain tasks Individual Behavior Intervention Plan as needed Strong home/school connection Smile, laugh and have fun!
