Goals Optimal Switching of Coding Modes
Proposes an additional coding mode Considers the trade-off between coding efficiency and error resiliency Improves PSNR characteristic in error-prone environment Uses an intelligent encoder without feedback Decides the optimal mode with moderate complexity
