When was he born?? Andrew Jackson was born in March on the 15 of the year 1767 His father Andrew Jackson died before Jackson was born

Where he was born: Andrew Jackson was born in a town called Waxhaw on the border of North and South Carolina. Andrew Jacksons House he lived in as a child

Childhood Jackson was born in South Carolina.
His mom raised him by herself and died when he was 14 of cholera. He lost both of his brothers in a war and then was raised by two uncles. He had Private tutors. Age 15 he went back to school to study to become a lawyer in 1787. His father Andrew Jackson died in 1767 the year Jackson was born in. His Mother Elizabeth Hutchinson helped nurse soldiers.

Jackson help the first political convention in the year 1820 cause it was falling out of favor. He helped it rise up again.

Jackson Campaigning was how he won the election of Monroe was coming to end by the time they did the election Jackson was voted with 99 electoral votes.

Spoils system It was the given name of practicing hiring/firing Federal workers when it changed in the 19th century. This started when the administration of President Andrew Jackson took office in 1829. “The phrase came from a speech by Senator William L. Marcy of New York. While defending the actions of the Jackson administration in a speech in the U.S. Senate, Marcy said, "To the victors belong the spoils.””

Jackson was said to use his power to veto a lot more than he should have. He vetoed more bills than the previous presidents before him combined. He was the first president to use pocket veto.

Trail of tears The Cherokee nation was forced to give up its lands east of the Mississippi River and to migrate to an area in present-day Oklahoma.

The treatment on the Indians were horrifying. Many Indians died very few survived the long walk to Oklahoma. Some Indians had horses while many had to walk.

He hated any kind of race except white’s. That’s what started the Indian Removal in 1830.
