The Backstreet Boys kicked off 1996 being voted the No. 1 international group by TV viewers in Germany.
"I'll Never Break Your Heart" reached a Gold status there for selling 250,000 units.
The Backstreet Boys quickly became one of the most successful debut artists in the world collecting awards for the category of Durch Starter (Best Newcomers).

4. History Kevin's departure
In June 2006, Richardson left the Backstreet Boys to pursue other interests.
He stated: “After 13 years of what can only be described as a dream come true, I have decided that it is time to leave the Backstreet Boys. It was a very tough decision for me but one that was necessary in order to move on with the next chapter of my life”.
