Customs – a way of living that people of the same culture practice regularly over time
Customs determine how we dress, play, eat, learn, live with other people, and understand the world
Ex. Tipping at restaurants, how to greet someone, football on Sunday

3. Values Values – the things people believe are most important in life
Usually obtained by family members
Examples
Happiness is more important than money
Treat others as you want to be treated
Religious beliefs

4. Interaction Interaction – the exchange of ideas and customs
Cultures do not stay the same forever, they change through interaction
Examples
Baseball being played in Japan
Cooking food from different cultures
