4. Being White Being White, I don’t know brown or black or red or yellow
or pink
or purple.
I only know white.
My DNA says I am white.
My society says I am white.
My friends say I can never know
Because I am white.
But, White is not all that I am.
I bleed red.
I bruise blue and purple.
I scare yellow.
I turn green
and then black.
So No, I don’t know brown
or black
or red
or yellow
But I know human.
