Two Point Perspective-
Two point perspective is a technique that shows different sets of receding lines converging, or meeting, at different vanishing points on the horizon line.

Why is Two Point Perspective Important?
Two point perspective is often used by Residential/ Commercial Architects

What is a façade (fa-saad)?
The façade is the front view of a building.

What is an arch? An arch is a curved structural element
that spans an opening and supports the weight above.

Post and Lintel Post and Lintel is the first type of arch created.
Stonehenge is an example of post and lintel construction. BC

Gothic Architecture Tall steeples and stained glass windows characterize Gothic Architecture.

Gothic Architecture Flying Buttresses were support systems used to support a wall. The arched opening helped to provide strength.

Important Techniques:
Draw your horizon line. You may use two vanishing points that go off of the paper. Draw a line in the center for the corner of the building… to the right of this line goes to the right VP, to the left goes to the left VP.

Consider your VIEWPOINT
When drawing the line for the corner of the building, consider the viewpoint for your building. You are always eye level with the horizon line.
