2. Red Dot Game – The Premise
Each student will take a small piece of paper
Some of the papers will have a red dot in the center
If you do not have a red dot:
Your goal is to form the largest group you can that does not include any “red dot” students
If you have a red dot:
Your goal is to infiltrate the largest group in the room without them knowing you are a “red dot”

3. Red Dot Game – The Basics
You may not show anyone your paper until you are told to do so at the end of the activity
You may ask people if they have a red dot
If you are a “red dot”, you may need to lie in order to accomplish your goal
You need to physically form a group that is separate from other groups
Remember…red dots have been assigned randomly…

This documentary is over an hour long…I would show maybe 5-6 minutes…it just gives an idea of what the hearings were like…the following slide will show even more what the hearings were like…the intro is really good (though it is just a black screen with talking at first)

8. “Have you no sense of decency?”
Welch is the special counsel for the Army during the hearings
Welch had an attorney in his firm named Fred Fisher
McCarthy claims Fisher belonged to a communist organization
Read, watch the video and be prepared to answer the analysis question
