We are off to a great start this year! We have been working hard on reviewing what we already know in math as well as learning new concepts that will help with mastering multiplication and division!
We spent some time learning about S.T.E.A.M . Which is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math. This year, we will be working on a variety of projects ranging from creation of items to research of influential people in S.T.E.A.M.
Please remember that we are NUT FREE classrooms. We have some friends in class that have severe allergies to nuts so we have decided to not have any nuts, including butters in our classrooms.
Now for some exciting news! We will be going on our first field trip to the Hot Air Balloon Festival! We will make our own hot air balloons over the next two weeks and then on September 8 we will be able to fly them at the festival! I will send home more information as it is received.
Math homework will be sent home 2-3 times a week and will always be a review of either what we have learned in class or math facts. Students may also have homework in science if they are needing to complete any readings or research.
