The NHS has been very successful in treating more and more conditions and is helping people to live longer. Additional NHS funding has been provided from the government, but price rises and growing demands in healthcare services mean that we cannot afford to provide everything as it currently stands. Our NHS is precious and we need to use NHS resources as wisely as possible. We want to ensure we provide the right care in the right place for our patients.
