1. Words Per Minute vs Number of Errors

2. Introduction
Comparison between how many words someone can type in a short time period and how accurate they are.
Does the speed of typing depend on the accuracy of what you are typing?
We believe that the faster a student types, the more errors they will make.
We will give twenty five students a minute to type as many words as possible.
NO BACKSPACING!!!

3. Data Population- DuBois Area High School student body.
Sample- 25 Students.
Individuals- Students in our second period English class.
Variables- Amount of words students can type per minute and how many errors they make.
NO BACKSPACING!!!

Relation to equation- Shows the correlation and accuracy of the project.
Correlation of graph- Represented by r, and is strong and negative.
Accuracy- Represented by r^2, explained variation of the errors.
Variation- 51.7%

7. Prediction Equation- y= -0.123x + 9.957
Average words typed per minute- 42 (based on our sample)
We predict that if a student would type the average 42 words per minute, the number of errors made by them would be 5 (based on our sample).
We also predict that the faster a person types, the less errors will be made with a 51.7% explained variation (accuracy).

8. Conclusion Hypothesis was incorrect.
We believed that typing speed and amount of errors would have a strong, positive correlation.
Our results ended up only being about 50% accurate.
Correlation was Strong and negative.
Possibly negative due to no backspacing.
If backspacing, less errors and a positive correlation might have occured.
