Aproximadamente Aprox Aproximately Gobierno Gob Government Clipping is when some parts of a word is taken out, and a new shortened version of the word is formed. It’s a bit different from acronym coz acronym usually only take the front letter of the word while clipping take just a few letters.

Based on what I read, Spanish does not borrow that much words from English, mainly, English is borrowing from Spanish. That’s why when u watch dora u hear so many similar words right such as ‘um numnumnumnum delecioso. Excellente ! And so on. Because they borrow from each other a lot.
