1 Conflicts of Federalism
Each group of 3-4 will be assigned a topic to research & present to class. Your group will create a visual (Ppoint, Prezi, video) to aid your presentation. All group members must research and present equally. 5 minute presentation: Briefly explain the issue. What are the current laws? Are national & state laws in conflict? (You may choose one state as your focus if it makes sense to do so.) Briefly explain any relevant State or U.S. Supreme Court decisions that have been made about your issue. Are there any federal or state punishments/penalties for violations? Which level of government ultimately has authority over this issue? Is this justified by the Constitution or is one level of gov’t overstepping its boundaries/grabbing power?

2 Important Dates 1. Presentation must be shared with me on Google Drive, posted on YouTube, or given to me on a flash drive by 4 pm for full credit. Please do not it to yourself (or me!) 2. Presentations will be conducted in class on your BLOCK DAY! Please dress professionally and rehearse prior to the start of class.
