Posterior ankle splint
Posterior ankle splint. This splint is constructed by application of stockinette followed by padding (e.g., Webril). Finally, a posterior slab of plaster is applied. For additional stability, a “U”-shaped stirrup slab is used. An elastic bandage (not pictured) to secure the splint to the limb is the final step.
