FLEX GROUPS QUICK INTERVENTION & SUPPORT
& LABS S.N.A.P. FLEX GROUPS We hope to continue and have a well oiled machine. Our best practice is to have a very quick intervention and support for students to make them successful. Use all available data (OCCT, BEAR, DIBELS, Benchmarks, Common Assessments, SNAP) to help make that happen. The flex groups and SNAP list will help in that intervention by honing in on student’s weakness and making our new implementation of our morning Math/Reading Labs available for students that are Unsatisfactory on the OCCT’s in all grade levels. Also the new implementation of our flex groups in 5th & 6th grade this year. Adding 40 minutes within the school day to improve on explicit areas by dividing our students within other experts (Instructional Coach, SPED teachers, Ind Ed Tutor, G/T Teacher, and Admin) for more individual assistance. Recently changed the groups from 2 weeks to 1 week in 6th grade to have the data immediately. (stole from BF from District PLC’s) Still assessing in 5th every week, but keeping students for 2 weeks to establish complete mastery.
