She has a lower court appeal case. She did not like what happened at the lower court and wants to take it up on appeal. She has no idea how to do that or what resources she might need. She does not have an attorney and she thinks something is due today. Once she walks through our door – what does the LLRC do to assist her? What services and help do we offer? Karen Johnson

She is a single mother with a child. The child is with her. She and the child left their house this morning with as many clothes as she could carry because her husband hit her several times last night and the night before. They have not eaten, they have nowhere to stay, and they took the bus to get here. She does not speak English and she wants to make sure that she is protected from her husband. He is a young man with a child. The child is with her mother. He would like to spend time with the child and for her to have his last name. His name is on the birth certificate, but nothing else legal has happened. He does not have a job, he does not have an attorney, and he cut his hand yesterday working on his car and can’t write. He is out of state and calling in about probating property in Arizona. His brother died and he is the only surviving relative. His brother had a car and a bank account in Arizona. He cannot make it to Arizona and he is not very computer literate. He does not have any money for an attorney. Once he calls – what does the LLRC do to assist him? What services and help do we offer? She lives in Ohio and got a traffic ticket driving through Arizona. She is not sure where it is from and she can’t find it. She found our on the internet and wants to know what we can do to help her.
