She is a single mother with a child. The child is with her. She and the child left their house this morning with as many clothes as she could carry because her husband hit her several times last night and the night before.
They have not eaten, they have nowhere to stay, and they took the bus to get here. She does not speak English and she wants to make sure that she is protected from her husband.
