Aim of the Project Restoring family training works, which are designed for the families with Autistic children, in European standarts and improving knowledge, skills and abilities of these families by means of cooperation and experience of project partners.

Why this project is needed?
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD); is a complicated lifelong development disorder, that is ascribed, emerges in early years, having genetical background.

Why this project is needed?
The research shows that the brain development is so rapid in the first five years of life.

Why this project is needed?
For this reason; it is very important to diagnose autism before the age of 3 and to immediately start relevant in terms of developing self care skills, socialization of the child,and supporting the child in continuing formal education.

Why this project is needed?
Early diagnosis facilitates early involvement of autistic children in intervention programs and let them benefit from these programs as early as and as intense as possible.

Why this project is needed?
However such positive developments as social integration, adaptation in family and social life,participation in school inclusion programs and independent living skills.

Why this project is needed?
The most comfortable place for the children having autism spectrum disorder is their homes and the closest people are their family members. So that they have major role in correcting, chnging and developing behaviours.

For this reason it is very important to provide proper support the families of the children having autism spectrum disorder.

The need to support families revelas in this point and the project is designed to cover this need.

The frequency of ASD According to the data of American Center of Controlling and Preventing Illness 1 ASD is observed in every 68 birth and it is thought that the rate of ASD is 1%. The research suggests that the exposure rate of male children is 4,5 fold higher than the girls and the impact is much deeper on girls.

Situation in Turkey Although there is no study on the frequency of ASD in Turkey; according to 2014 data of Ministry of National Education the number of schooling children having ASD is ’dir.

According to the table;
It is observed that the number of students having ASD increases gradually by each year. ASD differs according to gender. The number of boys with ASD is higher than the girls having ASD. The increase in the number of individuals having ASD increases the need to inform families and so puts forward the importance of our Project.
