Financial report Report by Arthur Dyer
Necessity to fund the operations of the LGRAG. Voluntary contributions by residents. R50.00 per household per annum. Income and expenditure. Questions.
12
Financial report (Cont.)
The necessity to fund the LGRAG activities is becoming more apparent, judging by the increasing influx of business operations into our residential suburb. The money is not required to fund the day to day operations of the group, and in fact no money has been drawn from the account. The Exco members have absorbed day to day costs such as postage, stationery, printing etc
13
Financial Report (cont.)
We will in all probability be faced with some form of litigation sometime in the future if we intend to take a stand against the blatant disregard of the rezoning by-laws and procedures, both by the council and developers.
14
Financial report (cont.)
Up until now we have asked residents attending the AGM to contribute R30 towards the LGRAG. We would propose that this be increased to R50 and should be applicable to all rate payers in the area, not just those attending the AGM. Ad hoc voluntary contributions will also be appreciated and put to good use. Without the support from all the residents of Lynnwood Glen we will be facing a huge uphill battle if recent trends to commercialise our suburb continue.
