3. What has really happened?
Original concept was that a need existed for technical assistance that could be addressed by Early Node implementers providing direct assistance to implementers.
Node Mentoring Workshop in February 2004 established the Mentoring Group as a resource on the Network.
From that meeting the Node Mentoring Group identified and filled a niche to regularly provide technical updates on selected topics and to have ‘office hours.”

4. Where is the new niche?
If there are 35 (ish) Nodes in production what does Node Mentoring mean now?
Some of the Mentoring mechanisms that we have originally planned have not been in demand.

Mini-grants targeted at getting data sets published on the Nodes

Can the mentoring group assist in the marketing/reaching out?
